ABOUT
Brooke Baerman writes stories about girls who find dragons and girls who solve mysteries. In other hours of the day, she is a historian specializing in women's craft traditions, and she works at a historic playhouse. She lives on the coast of Maine with her 22-pound orange cat, who loves to go for walks, and her average-sized black cat, who loves to nap.

Brooke holds degrees in art history and philosophy from Syracuse University, and has a masters degree from the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture. She has presented her research or worked at Colonial Williamsburg, Historic Deerfield, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, among other places.
